Find the right beer for you, with advice from those who drink it...every day.

Beer. A world-renown beverage that can link you to the culture and its people with just a sip.

Nothing beats the feeling of opening up a fresh beer after a hard day at work, going to the bar with your friends to take in the atmosphere of the local brewery, or sharing a beer with a stranger in a country you are visiting. Beer is such a simple word, yet, the varieties of beer that are being brewed make it one of the more complex beverages that humans drink. While building loyalty to a brand is understandable, the millions, yes, millions of beers being brewed in our vast world are waiting for you.

This blog serves as a guide for you to help you find out what beer to drink that is available domestically and internationally, as well as give insight into beers that we think are worth your money and time in the Hidden Brews section. This blog serves as a thorough review for you before you step into a store and buy a beer that you might regret.

Every country has beer, and that beer has a story that can be shared with a taste.

Craft Beer

The craft beer scene has seen a huge increase in sales over the past five years and currently accounts for over 25% of sales in the U.S. beer market. From coast-to-coast microbreweries are continuing to pop up in order to revitalize a once dying trend of going to bars to enjoy a nice cold one. The location of each brewery can help you build a connection to the region you are visiting. Since craft breweries and beer attract a younger crowd, that makes for a continuous surge in breweries for the years to come which means more beer for you and me to try. For people who are new to the craft beer craze, we can be a source of knowledge before you try something new. To current fans of craft beer, we guarantee we'll find something you haven't tried.

International Beer

Many people have tried the imported beer that we have stateside and usually don’t give it a second thought. As opposed to the domestic big dogs: Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors, and Miller, the brands that are imported to us provide a little more variety in taste, aroma, and body. International beer is not even close in popularity compared to craft beer or domestic beer for that matter, but with international breweries also becoming innovative in developing their beer we could see a bit more variety in imported beer in the years to come. Ever been on a beercation? This is the place to plan.

Hidden Brews

Some beers are diamonds in the rough and can easily be missed while searching for your normal go-to beer. We will feature a special beer, regardless of country or location that is worth your hard-earned cash. It is important to us that you relate the beer in your hand to the culture that made it, in order to help you get close with a country, even if you have never been there before. The acceptance of a fellow beer-lovers opinion is not easy, but history never lies.

Our ancestors did something right when they fermented barley to make beer over 10,000 years ago. We appreciate and value the taste of a good beer and the story that each one tells. Every country you visit has a culture that is waiting to be tapped into by opening up your heart and trying something new.

We care about the atmosphere that beer can provide but most of all we care about connecting you to the best beer around the world. Samuel Johnson wrote in 1776, “There is nothing which has yet been contributed by man, by which so much happiness is produced as a good tavern or inn.” The world is your tavern. Discover a beer, drink the culture.
